Dennis LeHane Biography
Dennis Lehane was born on the 4th of August in 1965, which was a Wednesday. For those readers interested in all things astrological, that makes him a Leo, which is one of the Fire signs.
Dennis was born in Boston, which is home to around 700,000 people and is on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s in Massachusetts, which is a state on the Eastern seaboard of the United States of America (think of a map of the USA, go up the eastern coast, and Massachusetts is roughly on a line with the center of the Great Lakes). Dennis was raised in a neighborhood of Boston called Dorchester. His parents had five children altogether, with Dennis being the youngest of them (four sons and one daughter). His father worked as a foreman for a Sears & Roebuck department store (the company has a chain of stores stretching across the USA), while his mother worked in a cafeteria at one of Boston’s public schools. Both his parents were Irish and had emigrated to the US.
When a young boy, Dennis attended Boston College High School, which is an all-boys Jesuit/Roman Catholic secondary school with a modest sized student body of around 1600. It’s in Dorchester.
