Stephen Frey Biography
Stephen Frey was born in 1960. The actual date is unknown. Even the month is a mystery.
Like Stephen’s date of birth, much of his early life is a complete mystery. We first catch up with Stephen when he’s in his twenties and has decided to further his education by going to college. He chose to enrol at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, which is the only college to be given World Heritage Site status by UNESCO. He left university in 1987 with an MBA.
Job-wise, Stephen went job hunting on Wall Street and places of that nature, his heart being set on a career in high finance. He was successful too. He worked in acquisitions and mergers for JP Morgan in its New York City office. He later moved to Washington, D.C. In 1999, he worked in private equities in the city for Winston Partners. He also held other similar financial positions at Westdeutsche Landesbank, Societe Generale, and Irving Trust Company.
When he wasn’t working, or following his outdoor passions for fly-fishing and golf, one of the things Stephen most enjoyed was reading a good thriller. He had a number of favorite authors, among them John Grisham, Tom Clancy, and Scott Turow. Reading these kinds of books didn’t just make his pulse-pound with the excitement of the tale, but also really got his creative juices flowing as he wondered if he could ever…
