Stuart was born in Dumbarton, a small town of only around 20,000 people, which is situated on the River Clyde and is in the west of Scotland, around 350 miles north of London. However, while he was born in Dumbarton, the entire family – mother, father, and three sons – moved when Stuart was just two years old. He actually grew up in another Scottish city – Aberdeen. On the east side of Scotland and further north, Aberdeen is also much bigger, with around 200,000 people.
