Sandra Brown was born on the 12th of March in 1948, which was a Friday. For those readers interested in all things astrological, that makes her a Pisces, which is one of the Water signs.
Sandra was born in Waco, which has a population of around 135,000 people and is halfway between Austin and Dallas. It’s in Texas, which is a state in the south-central part of the United States of America (if you picture a map of the USA, it’s in the bottom part of the country, right in the middle, where the US meets Mexico). When Sandra was a child, the family moved to Fort Worth, Texas, which is only about 90 miles from Waco, but which is considerably bigger, with a population of around 850,000 people. Her mother was called Martha Jean. Her father was known as Jimmie and worked as an editorial writer for the Worcester Telegram. She credits her parents with giving her not just the ability to tell stories, but the commitment needed to actually sit down and complete a book. She has four younger sisters.
Not a lot is known about her very early days, but she attended Richland High School in North Richland Hills, Fort Worth, which has around 2,100 pupils.
