Janet Evanovich Biography
Janet Evanovich was born on the 22nd of April in 1943, which was a Thursday. For those readers interested in all things astrological, that makes her a Taurus, which is one of the Earth signs.
Janet was born in South River, a small town with a population of less than 17,000. It’s situated in New Jersey, which is a state on the Eastern seaboard of the United States of America. Her father was a machinist and her mother a homemaker. She went to South River High School and then to further her education, she studied art at Douglass College in New Brunswick, which is part of Rutgers University, a large university with a student body of around 69,000 and has three campuses in New Jersey.
It was while she was still in college that she met a man called Peter, who was also at Rutgers as a doctoral student. That was in 1964. Pete would later become her husband. He is of Serbian descent, which explains the name Evanovich. After graduating with a qualification in art, she was stuck for a career, so ended up with a string of jobs, including used car salesperson, file clerk, hospital supply customer service rep, and insurance claims adjuster. Apart from doing jobs she hated, she spent a lot of time at home with her kids.
